Lordstown Endurance
Lordstown Motors, named after its location in Lordstown, Ohio. Where it once owned an old General Motors factory, has undergone significant changes. In 2021, the company sold the factory to tech conglomerate Foxconn to secure capital and expedite the production of its Endurance electric pickup truck. The good news is that the Endurance entered production in late 2022. Marking a significant milestone for the company.
The Endurance distinguishes itself as a true workhorse, aligning more with the capabilities of the Ford F-150 than the Rivian R1T. So, it features four in-wheel hub motors and a substantial 109kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of over 250 miles. Initial production plans aimed to manufacture and deliver 50 pickups by the end of 2022.
